Hoeven Listening to Districts

I had a great opportunity this week to visit with Sen. John Hoeven as he spent time with local legislative district leaders throughout North Dakota. As the Vice Chair for District 7 GOP, I was able to share with him what is happening on the ground and what we are seeing in our local districts during his stop in Bismarck.

District 7 Senate candidate Michelle Axtman, Sen. John Hoeven (R-ND) and myself.

The recent legislative re-districting process brought changes to Bismarck, especially in District 7. Our district, which was established after the 2010 census, has seen tremendous growth. We have several schools in our district, both public and private, and have seen numerous small businesses open. Families are looking for a safe place to live with low property taxes, and they are finding that in our community.

I am excited for the future of the Republican party in North Dakota. There are a number of new candidates getting involved in their districts and running for office, including District 7 Treasurer Michelle Axtman, who is running for State Senate. Visit her website at http://axtmanfornd.com! I believe this is a time of great opportunity for Republicans to continue our platform of strong conservative values, limited government, and responsible spending. What are the concerns you have?
